Rationale:

The PE curriculum is designed to inspire all students to succeed and excel in sport and other physical activities. It allows students to become physically confident in ways which will support their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and build character which will support values such as fairness and respect. In setting a challenging PE curriculum the subject will allow students to continuously develop their knowledge, understanding and skills with regards to all elements of sport and leading an active and healthy lifestyle. It is this drive to improve through each component of the curriculum that students will be able to show progress and intent to be better sports performers and healthier individuals. This respect of their own fitness and wellbeing will continue as students’ progress through their education pathway and into adulthood. With the current generation learning the skills, knowledge and understand to grow into active adults.
